Research in the Obeng lab centers on the pathogenesis of myeloid malignancies including clonal hematopoiesis (CH), myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We are investigating how acquired somatic mutations in hematopoietic stem cells lead to clonal expansion and malignant transformation.
