The Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance network, or CHAMPS, is a global health surveillance network aimed at preventing childhood mortality in developing countries, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa and south Asia. CHAMPS is a global surveillance network funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation that generates and shares accurate cause of death data on child mortality enabling scientists and public health leaders around the world to take action. CHAMPS is envisioned to be a long-term surveillance program targeting countries with high rates of children under 5 years old mortality in South-East Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. CHAMPS has ongoing surveillance activities at nine sites in South Africa, Mali, Mozambique, Kenya, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, Pakistan, and Nigeria. CHAMPS collaborates with government ministries and local stakeholders, providing technical and financial assistance.   JOB DESCRIPTION: - Coordinates major financial reporting and budgeting activities. - Ensures compliance with regulations and reporting requirements. - Coordinates the correction of account balances, resolves funding issues and maintains proper accounting controls and procedures. - Makes recommendations to management related to long-range financial and cash flow analyses. - Prepares and analyzes statistical and financial reports, financial statements and supporting schedules. - May assist in preparing, developing and monitoring department/organizational budgets. - May maintain grant agreements, policies and guidelines; coordinate grant reporting requirements; review grant funding source compliance; and negotiate grant funding with awarding agencies. - May perform indirect cost analysis. - May hire, train, and supervise a small staff. - Performs related responsibilities as required. ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS: The CHAMPS Senior Financial Analyst will assist in major activities including site financial reporting and invoice processing, contracting, and forecasting activities; ensure compliance in the Program Office, with sub awardees, and at sites (ARM-CHAMPS, Data to Action, Malaria Adult MITS, HIV and other internal sub-awards as needed). ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:    The Lead Research Specialist will work in the Sleep Epidemiology Research Group. This position involves working on several projects that are aimed at sleep measurement and understanding determinants and health consequences of sleep problems. Working evenings and weekends (3-4 hours twice a month) are a requirement for this position. The lead research specialist is expected to work under minimum supervision. The job responsibilities include maintaining research equipment in the office, calibrating and maintaining equipment, troubleshooting research devices as needed, enter data into databased (e.g., redcap), utilize online platforms to transfer data, process and score data from wearables using software on a provided computer, provide data summaries (in partnership with the study analyst), communicate with external teams, and represent the team at virtual meetings with internal and external researchers. The candidate will also be responsible for recruiting/scheduling research participants, completing research visits (data collection) in homes of participants, and processing participant incentives. In partnership with another team member, they will conduct the field visits which entail administering questionnaires, initializing air, light and noise monitoring devices, instructing participants on the sleep monitor and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and processing and mailing saliva samples. Several times a week, they will visit the homes of participants in the evenings and weekends to conduct the research visits, thus reliable transportation is required (mileage will be reimbursed). The candidate will review, produce quality control grades under the direction of PI or project manager. They will also oversee mailing the sleep and cardiovascular feedback letters to the participants, and to their physicians upon request from participants. The candidate will engage in other research-related tasks as needed. The candidate will have experience with research study recruitment and data collection among historically minoritized populations. Also, the candidate should be very detailed, meticulous about data, and be knowledgeable regarding technology (e.g., wearables). Because of the engagement with recruitment, having an outgoing personality and comfort with talking with people is a benefit. It is critical to be highly organized and have strong oral and written communication skills. JOB DESCRIPTION: • Regularly scheduled to work nightshifts on a PRN basis. • Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients on the Med / Psych unit at Grady Memorial Hospital. • Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records. • Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems. • Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures. • Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment. • Orders, schedules and/or performs laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures such as urinalyses, pregnancy and blood tests, and x-rays. • Communicates necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled procedures to patient. In collaboration with physician, arranges for consultations with or referrals to other medical professional or community services. • Educates patient on health habits, self-examinations, behavior management, need for follow-up assessments/treatments, at home medical care, medication and other issues related to medical or health problems. • Works with manager to formulate plan for professional development. • Attends educational in-services as appropriate. • Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments. • Maintains and updates current, accurate patient records including medical assessment, interventions, and evaluations. • Collects and interprets diagnostic data to implement appropriate care patient care plans. • Prepares statistical reports and analyses of research projects and investigational protocols; reports on progress, adverse trends and appropriate conclusions and recommendations. • Trains and teaches other health care professionals including students and residents in techniques and procedures unique to specific setting. • Actively participates on organizational health services committees. • Performs related responsibilities as required.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program. • Currently certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent, or certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). • Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia. • May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties. • BLS, ACLS for the Healthcare Provider certifications required.   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • The ideal candidate would have inpatient experience and/or prior experience managing patients with psychiatric comorbidities.
