The Integrated Cellular Imaging (ICI) Core at Emory University is hiring a Core Director. The Core Director is a staff scientist who leads core operations, helps guide research strategy, manages a team of microscopists, and performs administrative tasks in support of the core facility. The ICI core has around 20 imaging technologies at 5 different sites on campus. The ICI Core Director will have extensive fluorescence imaging knowledge, including expertise in confocal imaging, live cell imaging, super-resolution imaging, and image analysis. Experience leading an imaging core facility as well as imaging technology development is strongly preferred. Managerial and grant writing experience is also preferred.
The ICI Core Director jointly reports to the Scientific Director, Executive Administrator of Research Administration (School of Medicine), Assistant Dean of Novel Technologies and Cores (School of Medicine), and Senior Director, Cancer Research Administration (Winship Cancer Institute).

ICI represents a shared resource partnership between the Emory School of Medicine and the Winship Cancer Institute. ICI was established in 2012 and represents one of the largest imaging cores in the southeast with over 19 microscopes in 5 locations on campus, including a planned 6th future location in a new building on campus. ICI supports over 100 Emory investigators each year and continually acquires the latest cutting-edge imaging technologies available.
