Emory’s Research Grants & Contracts Office, the university’s central financial post award administration office, is looking for dedicated, motivated, and creative individuals to join our team. We are adding multiple new positions in response to the growth of research at our university.   JOB DESCRIPTION: - This is a central job, reporting to Research Grants & Contracts (RGC). - Responsible for post award processing of grants and contracts. - Provide account management, reconciliation, and resolution for principal investigators and research support personnel within a department or school. - Advise and interpret research funding awards, approve and/or monitor accounting and procurement expenditures consistent with regulatory and University practices, and provide direct support with accounts payable/receivable processes. - Routinely provides policy and procedure interpretation to academic departments and assists in the preparation of reports to federal and sponsoring agencies. - Other duties may include reviewing contracts, maintaining grant and contract files, reviewing invoices, monitoring accounts receivable and deliverable reports, developing queries and reports on the financial system, working with the division business managers to resolve contractual issues, communicating with sponsors, ensuring compliance with contract regulations and reporting requirements, and closing out contracts. - Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance and 5 years professional accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably in research/sponsored programs accounting, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  - Successful candidates will possess strong analytics, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Must be a team player. - Experience with various technologies including advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and database. JOB DESCRIPTION: - Responsible for daily supervision of the Staging and Surplus Properties staff. - Assists with establishing goals that support the stated mission of Facilities Management and the University. - Assists with the preparation of the annual departmental budget by identifying needs and managing expenditures. - Administers and ensures compliance with policies and procedures of the University and any applicable governmental agencies. - Maintains equipment inventory, personnel, and maintenance records. - Provides hands on supervision to support day-to-day operations of operations. - Establishes and coordinates a training program for staff. - Hires, trains, schedules, and supervises staff. - Responsible for insuring that fleet is maintained for safe operations and that all federal, state, and local regulatory compliance requirements are met and specifically DOT Transportation Compliance Guidelines are met. - Responsible for Special Event and Move coordination, service, and logistics. - Responsible for insuring that work order management, customer service requests, route management, daily DTR entries are being managed to meet departmental expectations. - May be required to fill in for frontline staff duties when needed to meet departmental service expectations. - Assists in developing and implementing plan to achieve University Sustainability Goals. Coordinates Moves and Set Ups with customers to ensure that expectations are met with associated timelines. - Provides support services for Special Events on campus and may require evening and/or weekend scheduling in and indoor and outdoor environments. - Provides sales support for Surplus Properties and responsible for ensuring all items are correctly priced, posted, and handled equitably and professionally. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - A high school diploma and five years experience in operations and logistics, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. - Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds. - Applicant must possess a current Georgia Driver's license and an insurable driving record as defined by Emory University Risk Management.
