This position offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on experience in communication tasks, including website maintenance, newsletter development, and social media management.   JOB DESCRIPTION:    - Website Maintenance: Update and maintain content on the Institute’s website. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure website content aligns with organizational goals and objectives of the Institute. - Conduct regular website audits to identify and address any issues or opportunities for improvement. - Newsletter Development: - Assist in the creation and design of newsletters to keep stakeholders informed about the Institute’s news, updates, and events. - Gather and curate relevant content the Institute. - Manage distribution lists and ensure newsletters are sent out in a timely manner. - Social Media Management: - Develop engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram). - Monitor social media channels for trends and conversations related to the Institute. - Respond to comments and messages, fostering positive engagement with the online community. - Position Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)   MINIMUN QUALIFICATIONS: - Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML. - Proficient in using social media platforms for business purposes. - Creative thinker with the ability to generate engaging content. - Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Basic graphic design skills are a plus.   NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion.
