As a People and Culture Specialist, the primary focus of the role is to ensure the efficient administration and coordination of various HR processes, initiatives, and programs. The role encompasses multiple responsibilities, including performance management, offboarding, leave of absence administration, training and development, employee relations, and active participation in employee programs such as ELEVATE Mentorship, C.O.D.E., and CREW. The role is pivotal in HR coordination and administration, serving as employees' first point of contact and providing essential support and information related to leave of absence, offboarding, performance management, and learning and development. For more information, visitwww.taskforce.org.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Educates and assists management and employees within a particular division or department in the administration of human resources policies and procedures. - Interprets policies and works with appropriate staff to effectively resolve human resources issues. - Provides guidance to managers and supervisors regarding employee leave policies. - May investigate and gather information regarding employee relations, Workers' Compensation and FMLA situations. - Initiates employment requisitions and follows up on job postings and applicant referrals. - Processes new hire and applicant tracking paperwork. - Ensures the accuracy and completeness of employment documents. - Reviews and obtains approval of time and attendance documents, processes reimbursements and special checks and maintains required documentation. - Maintains databases, records and files and prepares reports. - May assist with budget preparation and monitor expenditures for specific areas. - Performs related responsibilities as required. - Coordinating and administering HR training initiatives, programs, and special events, requiring a keen eye for detail in logistics and coordination. - Responsibilities involve scheduling HR programs and events calendars, developing, reviewing, and proofing event materials, and ensuring effective communication with internal and external colleagues. - Assisting with planning activities, collaborating with the Senior Manager to provide input on initiatives and programs. This includes coordinating the planning and execution of performance management cycles and annual learning and development schedules. - Responsible for generating reports and conducting data analysis, focusing on offboarding and performance management events and ad-hoc projects. - Administers all leave of absence cases. This involves working with external contacts to plan, process, and manage claims and updating managers and supervisors throughout the programs. - The attention to detail is crucial in handling these cases effectively. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Two years of college coursework, and three years of office administration experience which includes two years of human resources experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. - Knowledge of various personal computer software packages. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. - Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of HR laws and regulations, highlighting the importance of compliance in their role. - Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Google suite. Hilton Humanitarian Prize–the world's largest award of its kind–in recognition of its extraordinary contributions to alleviating human suffering.   NTD-SC Background: Based at the Task Force for Global Health in Decatur, GA, and affiliated with Emory University, the Neglected Tropical Diseases Support Center (NTD-SC) aims to optimize operational research to eliminate neglected tropical diseases which threaten the lives and well-being of millions of people in some of the world’s most marginalized communities. This work, conducted in close coordination with partners, addresses challenges facing each phase of the programs targeting the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs): effectively scaling up to reach those at risk, successfully scaling down when their goals are reached, and finally sustaining the reductions achieved in disease prevalence. NTD-SC serves as the secretariat for The Coalition for Operational Research on Neglected Tropical Diseases (COR-NTD).   JOB DESCRIPTION: - Directs the planning, development, and operations of a program with the Task Force for Global Health. - Collaborates with representatives from private, government, and international agencies. - Plans, executes, and monitors program budgets, including approval of expenditures; prepares annual financial and program reports to external parties with interests in the program. - May engage in fundraising initiatives on behalf of the program. - Ensures that the program is in compliance with federal and international laws and regulations. - Oversees program communications, including development of communications strategies, development of key program messages, production of print and electronic materials, and reputation management. - Represents the program in various national and international fora, and actively engages with representatives from other NGO's for purposes of conducting research and designing new initiatives. - May supervise program staff. - Performs other related duties as required.
